Drowning world

Photographer Gideon Mendel's photos span across the banks of the Red Cedar River to exhibit the personal affects of floods around the globe.
“Gideon's work really showcased the raw emotion of the terrors of these natural events.             He brought each photograph to life for me. This exhibit is effective because it humanizes each person in the photo. You don't know anything about these people but just by looking into their eyes, you're drawn in.”

-Libby Lee, sophomore human biology major

Sparty sits next to his effigy for the first time, which was provided by the Senior Class Council of 2015.
“Sparty represents spartan will…he’s someone anyone can walk up to and when they need it can get a hug.”

-President Lou Anna Simon.

“I think this is going to be one more iconic stop on a spartan’s mission while creating those memories. I just think he’s going to be a great addition to our community.”

-Union Director Tami Kuhn.
